Winter Formal Riko Tsumara (12th Grade) is a Foreign Exchange Student from Japan, asking James Schronce (11th Grade) to the Ladies Choice AHS Winter Formal.
"WINTER FORMAL" Saturday, December 16th, is the AHS Winter Formal. Tickets will be $6 in advance and $8 at the door. It's Ladies Choice so girls get to do the asking. Your ticket will include dessert and a drink. There will also be a photographer at the event to take pictures for a small fee of you and your date and/or you and your friends. Dress for the event is semi-formal. This means a tie, dress shirt and dress pants and semi-formal dresses are required attire. Jeans are not acceptable for this dance. Tickets will go on sale the week of December 11th during all lunches. Remember this is a high school event so students from Highland are not eligible to attend. If you bring an outside guest they must complete a guest form that is to be signed by their principal. Guests may not be older than 20 and will need to bring their ID to be shown at the door.The Winter Formal will take place from 7pm to 10pm.
Choral Christmas Concert Please join us Friday, December 1st at 7pm in the auditorium for our choir Christmas Concert. The cost is $4 for adults, $2 for students and $1 for children under age 5.

Chicago Day Trip by Charter Bus, December 2nd CHICAGO DAY TRIP CHARTER BUS- EVERYONE WELCOMEDECEMBER 2, 2017 Join us for a 1 day trip to Chicago on December 2nd. The cost is only $55. Please sign up by November 17th. You must pay when you sign up. There will be no refunds. Please make checks payable to Kay Wehner. You can call 641-2037, Anderson High School to sign up. Ask for Laura Crenshaw or Kay Wehner for any questions. We will leave by 6am and return around 11pm. We make a quick stop at a fast food restaurant going and coming. The bus will leave from the Anderson High School parking lot, south end. We also pick up and drop off at the Kohl’s store on 96th street in Indy for our Indy friends! Sign up is on a first come basis. The bus can accommodate 55 people. A stop is made at the Navy Pier and then on to the Magnificent Mile area. Always a fun time for all! Beautiful during the Holiday Season!
Hearing Screenings Hearing screenings will be completed for ALL SOPHOMORES, new students to AHS & for those who failed a previous screening. If you do NOT want your student's hearing checked, please contact Mrs.Blocher at [email protected] or 765-641-2037 extension 2128.The hearing screens will take place on November 13th and 14th.
VETERAN'S DAY PROGRAM Anderson High School will host a Veteran's Day Program on Friday, November 10th starting at 8:30am in the main gymnasium. Veterans and their families are invited to a small reception beginning at 7:45am in our cafeteria. Parent/Teacher Conference Anderson Community Schools will not be having school for students on November 1st. The corporation will be having parent/teacher conference days across the school district. The high school will utilize an open house style format for our parent/teacher conferences during the times of 7:45 - 10:45 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Teachers will be available for short conferences during the times listed above. Conferences will be on a first come, first served basis. Please feel free to reach out to a teacher if you would like to set-up a phone conference with them on November 1st. Please let the high school/career center know if you have any questions about this process. We look forward to seeing you on November 1st.
