The goal of the Anderson High School Athletic Department is to provide the best opportunities for student athletes to excel in teamwork, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and moral character. The purpose is to provide each participant with the experiences that will be positive, memorable and help him or her develop the capacity for commitment to a cause, acceptance of responsibility, and loyalty toward an y chosen endeavor.
Participation in high school athletics is a privilege that carries with it varying degrees of honor, responsibility, and commitment. Since competition is a privilege and not a right, those who choose to participate will be expected to follow the Code of Conduct established by the administration and other specific coaches‘ rules of their sport. Athletes represent their school and student body. It is the athlete’s duty to conduct himself/herself in a manner that is becoming and appropriate to the athlete, his/her family, Anderson High School, and the community.
