Homecoming week is NEXT WEEK! And there are some activities coming up that you need to be aware of.
The first round of homecoming court elections are tomorrow., Tuesday, September 10th. All of you will receive an email tomorrow with a link to a google form. You can vote ONCE, for anyone IN YOUR GRADE, any time tomorrow until 2:30
If you plan on bringing a guest from another high school to our homecoming dance on September 21st, you MUST PURCHASE THEIR TICKET THIS WEEK. Tickets for non-AHS guests will be on sale this Thursday and Friday during all four lunches. Again, if you plan on bringing a guest from another high school, you MUST PURCHASE THEIR TICKET THIS WEEK.

Congratulations to the football team on their conference victory over Muncie Central on Friday night. The Indians were led by MJ Armstrong with an incredible effort despite injuring his ankle in the first quarter. MJ finished the night with three touchdown passes to Willie Dennison, Jojo Jones, and Malachi Qualls. The defense certainly did their part by containing the Muncie Central running game with linebackers Jack Gray and TK Blair leading the way. The Indians also won the turnover battle with Jones and Qualls intercepting two passes. The Indians travel to Marion this Friday for another COnference Battle.
Attention football team… You are to be dressed in helmets, and shoulders and on the field at 3:00 today and ready to prepare to beat the Giants! Go Indians!

Penny wars begins tomorrow! Clean the change out of your cupholders, and bring your class closer to victory. Change, and bills will be accepted until the 20th of September, at all 4 lunches.

Anyone interested in being on the boys and girls swim teams, there will be a meeting after school or september 17th. We will be discussing conditioning workouts, as well as season dates Open swim will begin that night, so be prepared to get in the pool after the meeting. Open swims will be Tuesdays, and Thursdays after school until 4:00. If you have any questions, see Coach Eddy in the pool area.
Academic team practice will be held Tuesday, (tomorrow) after school, until 3:30 in the library
Indiana Wesleyan University will be here Tuesday, September 10th, in the cafeteria during all lunches.
Anderson High School JAG is collecting socks for the homeless in front of the JAG office from September 3rd until September 20th. Please bring new men, women, and children’s socks, and donate to a worthy cause. Again, all donations can be dropped off at the JAG office, room A180.
