News & Announcements

There is a challenge on the social media platform Tik Tok encouraging students to vandalize their school bathrooms. Destruction of any school property is strictly prohibited at Anderson Community Schools. Doing so will result in the student being disciplined. Students and their parents/guardians can also be held financially responsible for fixing any damage they may cause. To avoid this, we encourage parents/guardians to reaffirm the importance of respecting school property.

The 2020-2021 yearbooks are here!! If you graduated last year and ordered a yearbook, please stop by the school to pick it up.

Safety procedure

Good Morning - this message is from Scott Shimer - Principal At AHS. Today we conducted Random searches of students. This was a pre planned event and was not a reaction due to any type of threat. We will conduct these searches periodically throughout the year. This is a safety procedure we have in place to reduce the possibility of challenges in the future.

Hearing Screens for 10th graders

On Tuesday, 9/14/21, all 10th graders and new to ACS students will have their hearing screened in accordance with State guidelines. The screenings will occur during the school day. Parents of 10th grade students that are attending virtually should have received an email with a link to sign up for a time for their student to have their hearing checked during the day. Please contact Mrs. Blocher at 765-641-2037 extension 8300 if you have any questions or concerns.

Elearning on Friday, September 3rd

ACS Families, Students, and Staff,

We will have an on-demand e-learning instructional day for all students on Friday, September 3rd. Since school will be closed on Monday, September 6th for Labor Day, this will provide our custodial staff with four days without students and teachers in our buildings to conduct deep cleaning and ventilation.

Assignments will be given, and teachers will be available electronically from 10am to 1pm.

Students will return to normal, in-person instruction on Tuesday, September 7th.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend.
